K&A Models is happy to announce the upcoming release of their new Grumman F7F Tigercat for direct drive or geared motors.  The F7F Tigercat is a well known and recognized plane.  After the war the planes were fitted with water tanks under the belly of the plane and used for firefighting.  We chose the firefighter color scheme because well,  it looked better then the yellow or navy blue that you normally see.  The Tigercat is a very easy plane to fly with no bad habits that we have seen.  With use of LiPoly cells the Tigercat can be hand launched with no problem.  Outfitted with a pair of outrunner motors this plane really gets up and goes.  The kit builds very fast.  Frame up time is only about 6 hours less paint and covering.  The (P) version kit is the most popular due to the pre-sheeted wings and stabs and pre-primed fiberglass parts.  ( Make sure you check out our how to on sheeting a foam wing under building tips).  The F7F Tigercat will make for a great short project and an even better spring time flier.  Requires a 3 to 4 channel radio with 4 mini servos and mini receiver.

We are happy to announce the release of our new Ki-46 Dinah for direct drive speed 400.  This is a very graceful plane in the air and is very easy to fly.  We have not added landing gear to ours yet but we are sure that the airframe will accommodate the extra weight with no problem.  The new CP-1300 size cells can be used to offset the added weight of using landing gear or you can move to a geared speed 400.  This kit builds very fast.  Frame up time is only about 6 hours less paint and covering.  The most building time you will spend is sheeting the foam wing with balsa.  The nacelles and cowls are pre-formed ABS plastic and are simply cut out and glued in place.  There are not very many unique speed 400 airplanes to choose from. We are happy to announce the release of our new BEECHCRAFT D-18 twin.  This plane has been in the works for some time now but we finally have it in the box.  This is a great airframe for a very wide range of power units.  We used simple Mayhem 05 size can motors with a 2.3:1 belt drives on 20 CP 1700 size cells.   The system produces 720 watts at 36 amps.  This setup fly's the D-18 very well.   You can also use the Hacker or Astro brushless motors with their gearboxes.   The D-18 is very scale and can be set up with all functions, aileron, elevator, rudder, flaps and retracts.  We are not suggesting this kit for anyone other then experienced builders.  This is a very easy kit to assemble if you know what your doing.  The kit comes complete with an epoxy fiberglass fuselage, foam core wings and stabilizer, pre-cut to shape vertical fins, epoxy fiberglass cowls and nacelles.  All the wood is also provided with the kit as well as clear windows.  If you are looking for a great mid size scale plane the D-18 just might be the ticket. Requires a 4 to 5 channel radio with the use of 2  standard servos and 4 mini servos. A standard receiver can be used with this plane.

The OV-10 BRONCO has a new look and much faster to build now that we have set it up with fiberglass fuselages and foam wings. The OV-10 BRONCO is simple to build and has a very low cost power unit to set up. Most of you that have been already flying speed 400 airplanes know how much fun they are and now you can have twice the fun. The OV-10 BRONCO is one of the easiest planes to fly. The BRONCO hand launches with ease and gets up to speed in no time. The BRONCO can also be set up with landing gear (optional) and ROG's with no problem. Flight times on a 7-8 cell CP 1700 pack is 5 1/2 to 6 minutes.  With the new Poly cells you can fly 3 times as long.  If there has ever been a great time to get into electric twins now is the time with the new OV-10 BRONCO. Requires a 3 to 4 channel radio with 2 mini servos such as HiTec HS55 and 1 servo such as a HS85 for the elevator. A mini receiver is also recommended.
